Our experience in specialized pulley applications can provide you with idler pulleys, drive pulleys, cams and idler sprockets to meet your specific need.

Special bore sizes and hub lengths can be supplied to meet unusual mounting requirements.  A full range of plug adapters is available for the H series.  Special sheave sizes and configurations can be designed to meet space requirements of special control functions.  Custom tires can be fitted for special applications, such as door rollers, and shipped ready to use.  Stamped and welded drive pulleys are available for all popular V-belt sizes.

Special Design Split Steel Pulleys

To accommodate changing customer needs, NHI specializes in custom designed split steel pulleys and cams to meet the most demanding requirements.

V Disc Drive Assembly

Typical of special pulley configurations which can be supplied by NHI is this V disc drive unit which provides the means of varying the speed transmitted to the drive wheels of power equipment.

Custom Designed Rollers

Rollers incorporating tires made of Nylon®, polyurethane, Ztel®, rubber and other appropriate materials are available for special applications.  Convex, concave, flat or other configurations can be supplied within the limits of the roller dimension.  Nylon can be glass filled for added strength.  Tires are custom fitted to either flanged, plain, radius or V-belt pulleys and are shipped ready to use.

Custom, Fully Machined Pulleys

NHI’s expertise and capabilities include the manufacture of fully machined drive and idler pulleys.  Experience has proven that when applications call for low volumes of single or multi-groove small diameter pulleys, custom machining can be an economical alternative

NHI can produce custom turned pulleys on CNC equipment with Ø3-inch “through the head” turning and a Ø13-inch maximum chucking capacities.  Standard bores, keyways and set screw holes can be included as secondary features.

Custom-machined pulleys offer the advantages of tough and durable, single-piece construction, hub incorporation and offer a particularly good solution in applications that require large bores and small pulley diameters.
